The SAC supported project aimed to gain a better understanding of the socio-economic status, availability of basic amenities, livelihood profile and problems being faced by people in the target villages.

 

The needs assessment study helped SAC identify the key developmental needs of the community, issues and challenges faced by the target population and priority intervention areas along with strategies to be adopted in the short, medium and long term. It also served as a baseline against which impact of planned corporate social responsibility interventions in the target villages could be measured in the future.
