The programme objective was to strengthen insurance services that support the risk management of rural households. The key activities of the program included setting up of a multi-stakeholder agribusiness enterprise, formation of FPOs, ensuring traceability and differentiation of produce and tie-ups with institutional buyers and direct-to-consumer sales.

The consultancy services involved documentation of stakeholder consultations, innovative field interventions and all knowledge activities related to the program including assessment of farmers' crop loss due to adverse weather conditions and preparation of synthesis notes, briefing notes, concept notes etc.
